The OE 32
This is a well-known, timeless beautiful, long-keeled, masthead rigged blue water cruising boat with a rounded canoe-style transom, rounded hull and a solid displacement for ocean sailing. The interior fixtures and fittings are, on the whole, much the same as those of the OE 36 and are of a high quality.
The boat was designed in 1971 and construction began in 1973 as a self built boat under expert guidance. The boat can be classified as a modified Scandinavian double ender. It is still keenly sought after and with 200 built, is the most commonly encountered of all of the OE boats.

The OE 36
This was the first of the OE boats to be designed and constructed and it was the foundation for the subsequent boat projects. The blueprint was completed in 1968. The production took place in the first year on a small scale and was followed by a lot of obstacles because of ship yard insolvency and other problems.
In 1971 there came a turning point, when the promoters launched the boat as a self built project under expert guidance. The boat was of a high quality and the OE 36 was given the epithet "The queen among the self built boats". The OE 36 is a classically beautiful cruiser with a sloping clipper-styled stem and a medium skeg keel. She is a sought after boat and there were about 150 built.
